9 months old

Well, that was a blur!  Where did February go?  Here is what Paxton has been up to...

Pax Facts:

Stats:
Weighs-21 lbs
(I don't have the rest of his measurements because he didn't have his well check-up because he wasn't well:(
Hair is still light brown and is getting longer (as you can see in his pictures) and could really use a little trim.
Eyes are big and brown!

Wears:  Size 4 diapers, mostly 9-12 month clothes although the pants are a little long, size 2-3 shoes (depending on the shoe)

Eats: His diet is about the same as it was last month although he is eating a few more finger foods.  He is still a pretty good eater, but isn't quite as ravenous as he was last month.  Breakfast is by far his favorite meal!  He went through a phase where he didn't really want to take bottles, but he seems to be over that.  He drinks water from a sippy cup and loves mum mums!

Sleeps:  We were moving in the right direction with his sleeping habits, but being sick and on vacation really threw him off.  He still takes 2 naps a day (usually 1-2 hours each) and goes to bed around 7ish.  He is up anywhere from 2-5 times a night and is up for good around 7!  We will sleep again one of these days!  When you first lay  him down in his crib, he starts out on his side, but once he falls asleep he ends up on his tummy with his bottom in the air.  When he wakes up in the middle of the night, he usually sits up and cries, but when he is really mad he gets on all 4's and rocks back and forth in protest!

Lots of firsts this month:  first tooth, crawling with his tummy off the floor, pulling up to stand, first plane trip, met his great grandparents Mimi & Papa (and lots of aunts and cousins!), double ear infections, fever, antibiotics and allergic reaction to penicillin!  A very exciting month to say the least!!!

Loves: Being on the move, swinging, riding in his car, HIS SISTER, playing in Ashlyn's room with Ashlyn's toys, splashing in the bathtub, putting everything in his mouth, making lots of noise, puffs, holding his own bottle, being outside, giving kisses, wipes, paper products, putting something in his mouth and crawling around with it hanging out, babbling (mamama, dadada, bababa, nanana), being in the middle of everything, playing with mazzy, being tickled, iPhones, wrestling (gently), cords, the vacuum cleaner, sweet potatoes, and watching TV!

Does not love: Diaper changes, getting in his car seat, being hungry, being told no, being contained and getting dressed.  He has been more fussy this month but I blame it on his ear infections, teething, having a cold and then the allergic reaction.  It wasn't his finest month but he took it all in stride!

So I broke the other cardinal rule for photographing kids...taking pictures while they are sick!  Here are a few shots of Paxton at 9 months old.  He has double ear infections and the start of an allergic reaction to Penicillin.  Ashlyn was sick too and was napping during the photo shoot.  We were a few days late so I wanted to get them done!  Oh well, February only had 28 days

Good shot of his tooth!

Pick another one

I asked Ashlyn to pick out a toy to take to the dr's office with us. She comes out with this!

Sorry for the blurry picture, but yes, that is a 6 pack holder!  Her favorite toy!

Braving the snowstorm...in Tucson???

We headed out of town for a long weekend to Tucson, Arizona so Paxton could meet his great grandparents and lots of uncles, aunts and cousins!!  It was a mini Doyle Reunion with 5 out of 7 families representing!  The 2 hour flight turned into 4 1/2 hours when an unexpected snow storm blanketed the desert.  We circled for a while, wait for the storm to pass but then had to be diverted to Phoenix to refuel.  We made it to Tucson safely and enjoyed the remainder of the snow storm from the ground.  We got about 3 inches total, but most of it melted by morning.  The Wimberly clan bunked up with Aunt Kathy (the absolute hostess with the mostest!).  She made it a very easy trip for us, traveling with 2 kids. The days were spent enjoying the fresh air, hanging out with family, a little sight seeing, shopping and just relaxing!  Each evening we had dinner at a different house with the entire crew! Despite having a cold and getting 2 teeth, Paxton did great on his first trip.  Ashlyn ended up getting sick too the day before we headed home but thankfully the return flight was much smoother!  Here are lots of pictures from our trip!
