Halloween 2011

We trick or treated this year with Emily, Ted, a vampire and firefighter!  Ashlyn dressed up as...A PEANUT!  When the nickname stuck, I decided she would have to be a peanut for Halloween.  It was pretty darn funny!  She had a blast walking around with the boys.  She made it up to a few houses, but then we started trailing behind so we loaded her up in her car and headed around the rest of the neighborhood.  She had a blast!

And next year...a can of gold spray paint and we have her costume!

Punkin' Patch

We made a quick trip to the pumpkin patch on Sunday with Aunt Sarah and Gma to pick out a pumpkin to carve.  Ashlyn had a blast running around with all of the pumpkins!  She is getting so big!  When we got back to Gma and Gpa's house, Chance carved the pumpkin.  Ashlyn picked out a nice old pumpkin complete with warts and curly q's.  It was the thickest and toughest pumpkin I have ever seen.  Hence the simplistic design of our jack 'o lantern!  Oh well, Happy Halloween!

(notice the warts and curly q's!)

Fall Festival

On Friday, Ashlyn's school had its annual Fall Festival.  It is a pretty big event with activities for kids of all ages.  I took off work a little early so I could make it to help set up for the party!  The had a pumpkin decorating contest.  Chance was awesome...we made a Texas Ranger's Pumpkin (yes, this was when they were in the world series).  We had a great time at the Fall Fest!  Gpa even managed to stop by for a little while.  It was nice to meet the parents in Ashlyn's new classroom.  It was a great time!
