Don't tell sissy, but Paxman took a ride in her car seat. He is still rear facing but I think we will be turning him around soon. He seemed to enjoy the change of scenery!

Design center
We had our first appointment at the design center today to pick out all of the stuff for our new house! Kathy is our designer and she was awesome! She really listened to our ideas, wants and wishes and I really feel we captured the look and style we were going for. This is the first step in the process and it was so much fun. It made everything feel very real! Next step, we are waiting on all of the permits from the city. Once we have those and a start date we will meet with our builder!

A little update on my Paxman
II am no longer doing the monthly updates since we have passed the 1 year mark. But I thought I would share just a few facts about my little squeeze!
From his 15 month check-up
Height-32.5 inches (90%)
Weight-24 lbs 8 ounces (50%)
Head-48.2 cm (80%)
Wears size 12-18 months clothes and size 5 diapers (Ashlyn stopped at 4's) and size 5 shoes.
Sleeps 7ish to 7ish and had gone down to 1 afternoon nap a day. He still uses his pacifier...mostly when he is sleeping and in the car.
He has gotten to be a much more picky eater but a few of his current faves are bananas, pancakes, blueberries, string cheese, applesauce, turkey and sweet potatoes. He also loves Cheerios and goldfish and other snacks like that. He still hasn't mastered a spoon but keeps trying.
Some cute things he is doing right now...he blows on hot food and he blows out if the right corner of his mouth. He assumes all food is hot and starts saying "hot hot hot" before I can even set it down! He does the same thing with his bubble baths. His wave goodbye is so cute. He keeps his little fingers bent and and kinda just wiggles his fingers starting at the pinky working his way to his thumb. He is the heartthrob in his class and his teachers can't get enough of him! They are always gushing over him! If I am late to pick them up he will go over to our family picture and point to it and say "momma momma". He also is the only kid in the class who throws his trash away and says please and thank you! He can make the sounds of several animals and he mimics a lot of words and sounds. He is often found wrapped around my leg if I am standing still. He absolutely loves his sister and wants to do everything she is doing! He loves music and loves to dance. He try's to jump but he ends up just stomping his foot. He runs everywhere he goes...rarely is he seen walking. He loves wearing hats and sometimes won't leave the house/car without one. When he gets excited (or wants something to eat) he runs in place really fast (we call it fast feet) and sometimes he does this if he doesn't get his way! He is still very easily redirected when he gets upset or frustrated.
Some not so cute things he is doing right now...occasionally he will bite my shoulder when I am holding him and that really hurts! He also climbs onto everything!!! Luckily he has pretty good balance. He is starting to want to walk vs being carried which isn't always the most convenient. He still throws food when he looses interest in a meal but now he says "doggie" as he throws it. He is also very fascinated with the toilet...gross!
He has my heart and fits perfectly into our little crazy family! I love you Paxton Doyle!!!

A tee party
Ashlyn wanted to have a tea party the other night as she was stalling for bed. I agreed and was doing other things as she set up our party. I downed my tea and pretend cookies and we headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth before bed. I noticed there was a lot of water on the floor and the lid of the toilet was open. I asked her where all the water came from. Without a missing a best she said "our tea party". Well played Ashlyn, well played!

Fair fun
We got a spur of the moment invitation from Gigi and Aunt Rah Rah to go to the State Fair of Texas that we couldn't turn down! Free tickets and 4 extra hands...heck yeah! Chance wasn't able to join us because of that silly thing called work. We may try and go again on a weekend, but at least we got our corny dog fix! Here is our day documented in photos!
This was by far my favorite activity for the kids...A day on the farm. It was so cute and not too crowded. And they actually got a snack when they finished their "work on the farm"!
Next stop, the petting zoo. Complete with a momma goat giving birth right before our eyes. Wow!
We hit up the dog show for a sitting rest break...unfortunately it wasn't very cool inside the arena.
Made a stop to meet the new Big Tex. "Howdy Big Tex"
Only the best corny dogs...Fletchers!
Paxton enjoyed his first Fletcher's Corny Dog
Ashlyn LOVED the 3 piece band and she was quite the hit on the dance floor. We stayed for probably 5 songs!
We made our way through the midway with only one stop for a game. $5 bucks to pick 2 ducks and win a prize. Awesome...a huge ball...that will be fun to chase around the remainder of the fair!
Last stop...face painting for the peanut. This was her first time to have her face painted. She was a little nervous at first, but loved it when it was finished. She chose Hello Kitty!
After the fair we stopped by Daddy's work to show of our kitty!
Thanks for a fun day at the fair Gigi and Rah Rah!!!
