Big girl bed update

Phase II of the big girl bed!  She slept with this set up for about a week and did great!  

 So we set up the big girl bed!  I found an antique Jenny Lind bed on Craig's List and had it refinished. I haven't finished decorating her room yet, but this is a start!  She is doing great in her big girl bed (the rails are up at night).  We did find her asleep on her bedroom floor one morning.  The bed is a little tall for her to get into without help so she must have gotten out and decided she was still sleepy.

Father's Day 2012

Father's Day was pretty low key this year, but we celebrated and enjoyed Chance nonetheless!  And we will all enjoy his present...a new lens for our camera!  Yay!  We did sneak out for an early dinner at an awesome restaurant just around the corner from us.  We love you bunches and bunches!

Nenna comes to visit

With the unexpected arrival of Paxton, Nenna and Papa weren't able to make it to the hospital in time for his birth.  Nenna came up to spend the weekend with us and meet Paxton.  Paxton loved the snuggle time and Ashlyn had a blast playing!  Come back soon Nenna!

2 week check-up

2 week check up went great!  The lymph nodes on the back of Paxton's head are shrinking and are no concern.  He still has a clogged tear duct in his right eye that makes his eye drain a lot.  Just going to watch it for now.  He had to get his heel pricked for the PKU screen (that was a lot of blood!).  Other than that, it was a quick visit!  Unfortunately, I have missed placed his "stats" from the check up.  From what I can remember (memory is terrible these days):

Length: 21 3/4 inches (75th percentile)

Weight: 9lbs 5 ounces (90th percentile)

Head: 50th percentile

2 weeks old

He loves taking a bath but is not a fan of being cold!  Loves to snuggle after his bath all bundled up!

Newborn & 2 year old pictures

Whew!  What a morning!  We had Paxton's newborn pictures, a few family pictures and Ashlyn's 2 year old pictures taken today.  The photographer was VERY sweet and so patient with our uncooperative children!  Ashlyn was not feeling very photogenic and Paxton was wide awake!  He is supposed to be sleeping for the newborn pictures.  Chance came for the family shots, but then had to go to work.  Mimi was very gracious and stayed with me to occupy Ashlyn while it wasn't her turn to say cheese! In the middle of the session (while I was trying to feed Paxton and get Ashlyn to smile simultaneously) the security company called and said they were dispatching the police to our apartment because out alarm was going off.  Needless to say it was a little chaotic!  Can't wait to see the final product.  Hope we go a few decent shots!

Swimming at Gpa & Gma's

We packed up and headed over to Gpa and Gma's house for a relaxing afternoon and some swimming...and a yummy steak dinner!  We celebrated Gma's birthday and an early Father's Day!  

First outing

I was going a little stir crazy at the house and wanted to get out!  So we went up the street to a little Mexican restaurant.  I thought Paxton would sleep the whole time, but I was mistaken!  I spent the majority of the meal holding him.  I am not the greatest 1 handed eater.  Ashlyn loves hot sauce.  She scoops it up on the chip, licks it off and then sticks her tongue out like it is too spicy...and then digs in for more!

Ashlyn and I snuck out for donuts and some playground time while Daddy and Paxton slept in!
