Easter egg hunt at Merryhill

We closed on our house just in time to make it to see Ashlyn's class do their egg hunt!  Fortunately, Gigi made it in time to cheer on Paxton!

Ashlyn:
Massage therapist/hair stylist/make-up artist
Ballerina
Teacher
Chef
Doctor (or a PT like her mama...she wants to take care of boo boos)

Paxton:
Plumber (I cannot keep him away from the toilet)
Rock climber
Pilot
Vet
Taste tester
Soccer player (football is his favorite sport, but his PT mama won't let him play that so I am hoping for the Spanish translation....futbol!)

T turns 40!

Heading out of town for Aunt T's 40th birthday party!  Couldn't forget the birthday hat.  It was actually Ashlyn who remembered it!  Happy 40th T!

I am going to keep this a running post so I can document the funny things they say as I hear/remember them!  By the way, Paxton talks SO much.  His vocabulary is huge and he will try to say anything.  He is putting 3-4 words together to say short sentences.  

Ashlyn has been going to her speech school since October and I have noticed an improvement with her vocabulary.  She still has some trouble with articulation.  She can say the words properly if she slows down and models what I say but in her every day talking it is still difficult to understand if you don't listen to her often.  After her check up with her developmental dr this summer, I may look into some 1-on-1 speech therapy.  She is definitely making progress and I am so proud of how hard she works on it.  Not to mention she has to get up at 6:45 to make it to speech class on time!  No easy feat!

Paxton's 1st haircut

Finally decided to get Paxton's hair cut.  Too many people calling him "she" and "her"!  It didn't bother me much when older people would do it because I just figured they weren't hip with little boys with long hair.  But when young, trendy people started calling him a girl...I knew it was time!  He wasn't too sure about it at first, but once I held him in my lap and gave him a sucker, he decided it would be ok.
