Weight 15.7 lbs (4%)
Height 27 1/4 inches (40%)
Head circumference 43.3 cm (30%)
She grew 3 lbs and 3 inches! She is long and skinny! It seems like a lot has changed from 8-9 months. She is sitting now, rolls all over the places, likes to stand up (with help), loves her exersaucer and eating in her highchair. She enjoys playing in her bath (but mostly chews on a washcloth or puts the foam letters in her mouth). She sleeps in the princess crib (except when she is sick...which seems like it was a lot last month!). She babbles up a storm with the most popular sound being dadadada. Her daddy is pretty proud of that. She still doesn't have any teeth or much hair, but I am expecting both to come in any day now! She still has beautiful blues eyes with the longest, curly eyelashes! She smiles and laughs all the time and has the MOST pinchable cheeks! But she has started to express herself a little more. If she gets tired of playing with something or being somewhere or gets sleepy, she has started fussing to let us know! Her hemangioma is doing great and we are going to start tapering her medicine down to 2 doses this month. She is starting to get a little separation anxiety and likes to be in whatever room we are in. She is still very interested in the dogs. She eats A LOT! We are trying to work out a good eating schedule, because it seems like she is eating all the time. She drinks milk/formula 4 sometimes 5 times a day and eats 3 solid meals. It has been a lot of fun experimenting with new foods. She is also working on finger foods and is really starting to get the hang of it. Some of her favorite foods are peas, avocado, carrots, and yogurt. She prefers veggies over fruits it seems. I have been making most of her baby food in our Vitamix. It is so easy and a lot cheaper and she seems to like it better. She is wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes and is still in size 2 diapers. She is the queen of cat napping! She usually takes several shorter naps throughout the day, but will sometimes surprise me with an hour or two nap when she gets really tired. I can guarantee that she will fall asleep on the way home from school...usually right about the time we turn down our street! She usually goes to bed around 8 and gets up between 8-9. She loves straps! If it has a strap or buckle on it, you can bet it will be in her mouth. I am not sure what the fascination is but she will find a strap if it is there! And cell phones! What is it about cell phones that babies love? It has been pretty cold this month with several snow and ice days. It seems like we haven't been able to spend much time outside. I am hoping that will change soon. I want to get her a swing as soon as it warms up a little. I really think she will enjoy it. We tried out the johnny jumper and she mostly spun in circles...didn't quite have the jumping part down yet. She seems to enjoy going to school. Chance says she gets excited when he walks in the building. The teachers there are pretty crazy about her. I am sure it is because she is such an easy going, laid back chick! All in all we think she is pretty wonderful! Here is a look back at some pictures from the past month.

9 months old!

9 months with frog

Yes, I know we need to lower the mattress...it is on the "to do list"
She can't sit up on her own yet, so it isn't as unsafe as it appears.

Snuggled up on a snowy day

Burp cloth doo-rag

The bigger the bow the better!

Shoes are finally starting to fit!
She has the tiniest feet!

This chick is CRAZY about her daddy!
(and vice versa:)

"I don't need no stinkin' nap!"

Heading to the bath

Getting ready for school with daddy

Thanks for my onesie Aunt Teresa
We love Baby Legs!

"Oh Daddy...you say the funniest things!"

She did not feel well! You can see it in her eyes :(
But she still looks cute as a button

Mimi & Ashlyn

This poor girl sneezed probably 100 times this day
She was so pitiful

Everyone got sneezed on!

Doesn't she look like a little girl in this picture?
Not a baby!

I think she is cursed with my bad habit of
closing my eyes during pictures

Look at those eye lashes!
This was the day before the sneezing frenzy

"Hmm...what am I going to get into next?"

I love this picture...so sweet
And those cheeks...delicious!

Out in Emory, enjoying the snow

I love how her right ear sticks out just
the tiniest bit at the very top

Dinner time is pretty messy these days
(this was messier than usual, but we take a lot of baths!)

She melts my heart

We spend a lot of time on this carpet
The dogs aren't (usually) allowed in her room so we play here a lot

Sitting in a cart at the grocery store, gnawing on a cracker

Ready to head to school

Snoozing on daddy, she did not feel well :(
