We had our first real outing as a family of 4 to take Paxton for his (almost) 1 week check-up. He got a good report and was almost back to his birth weight and his bilirubin was 0! He has a few swollen lymph nodes on the back of his head that are apparently common after birth. They drain all of the fluid on the scalp and can sometimes become enlarged. We will just keep an eye on them. His right eye has a blocked tear duct that will also likely resolve on its own. We go back at 2 weeks for another weight check and his 2nd newborn screening. Dr. Yaeger is ok with waiting until 2 months for his first Hepatitis B vaccination.
