Bye bye paci

Ashlyn had one paci left that she hadn't chewed a hole in yet.  The deal was when that paci was gone, there were no more pacis.  Well, that happened Monday night.  So we went cold turkey no pacis!  Tuesday we went over to Pop Pop and Gigi's house and we stopped by Toys R Us so Ashlyn could "buy" a toy with her last paci.  She wandered around the entire store and this $2 pink ball is what she decided on!  Cheap date!  All in all I think she has done pretty well with the transition.  I honestly think the hardest part is when she is in the car.  She is very fussy and whinny now and I think it is because she is confined and isn't able to soothe herself.  Amazingly she hasn't asked for her pacifier...she just seems very unsettled in the car.  Nap time and the nights have been pretty smooth!  Bye bye paci...hello big girl!  Potty training is next on the list...
The kind sales associate discretely disposed of her paci

Full of hot air

We made it out for the final launch of the Plano Balloon Festival!  We had a picnic dinner and enjoyed some fresh air.  Ashlyn loved watching the balloons air up and then take off!
Love these 2!!

A library card holder

We made a trip to the Frisco Library and got a library card!  The library is very nice and we are going to start heading to story time during the week.  Here are some pictures of Ashlyn checking out her first library books!

Laser treatment #3

Dr. Burns wasn't messing around with this treatment!  I hope and pray this is the last one she will need because I am not sure I can put her through that again!  She got extremely swollen and bruised :(  And this is the first treatment that she has said "ow".  I am not sure if it really hurt or just felt really weird with all of the swelling.  She would look in the mirror and say "owie".  It made me so sad.  In addition to hitting it with both lasers he did a steroid injection in the center of the tumor.  He said in all of his years of practice, her case is definitely an "outlier".  She is such a trooper.  So proud of our brave little girl!
