We spent Easter weekend in Abilene this year. It was a busy weekend with lots of good food, a couple sporting events, a few naps and lots of Easter! We rolled in to town late Friday night. It always takes us a while to get home, get packed up and fight traffic. We never make it in as early as we think we will. Saturday we had a good BBQ lunch at a new joint in Abilene. Then it was off to Crew's baseball game. Ashlyn and I snuck home for a nap...I was still battling the vertigo and the lasting effects of the medication...yuck! We did some quick shopping to finish off the girls Easter outfits (thanks Nenna for the BEAUTIFUL dresses!) Then it was off the Kellan's baseball game. We had dinner Saturday evening and just hung out. Sunday morning we were up early for church, but no one slept well and we were pretty slow moving. We skipped church this year but were there in spirit. We dressed the girls up in their Easter dresses and took lots of pictures. After a wonderful lunch we opened Easter baskets and hunted Easter eggs (inside because it started raining). The Easter Bunny was very good to all of us this year! Ashlyn spent the majority of the weekend in this little red car. She absolutely loved it! I think I know what she will be getting for her birthday. Ashlyn and Jules were really cute. Jules loved to hug and kiss Ashlyn unless she was playing with one of the toys or being held by Nenna! It was pretty funny. We stopped by Gma and Gpa's house on our way back to Dallas to show off Ashlyn's pretty dress. It was a quick trip to Abilene, but a wonderful weekend! Here are lots of pics from Easter Sunday! In no particular order...with no captions!
