The Pax Facts...
Stats:
Height: 24.5 inches (90th percentile)
Weight: 12 lbs 13 ozs (75th percentile)
Head Circumference: 40 cm (50th percentile)
Wears: Size 2 diapers and 0-3 months clothing (I should say onesies because that is ALL he has worn because it is so hot outside)
Eats: Every 3 hours during the day and the nights vary...sometimes is can go 6-8 hours and other nights it is 3-4 hours. He is only getting breast milk at this point and nurses and takes bottles. We are also giving him Prevacid once a day to help with his acid reflux. This really seems to help, thank goodness! In addition, I have cut dairy out of my diet...VERY hard for a cheese lover like me! I think that is helping as well.
Sleeps: Sporadically! He is having a hard time falling asleep without being rocked or held and once he realizes he is not being held (usually after 20-30 minutes) he wakes up and isn't able to put himself back to sleep. He does do a little better at night but usually ends up asleep on top of me at some point during the night. He is still sleeping in our room in the co-sleeper. During the day he naps in his crib or the pack-n-play. He still gets his best sleep in the car! We swaddle him at night and sometimes for his naps. I really can't tell if he likes it or not. It seems like he fights it at first, but then sleeps a little better once he falls asleep. He is using a paci, but is not as crazy about it as Ashlyn was.
Other fun facts: Paxton is overall a much happier baby since we have been figuring out his tummy troubles. He smiles, laughs, coos and is a lot more vocal! He has found his hands (with his mouth). He likes to suck on his first knuckle. His arms and legs are constantly moving and when he gets mad or frustrated he kicks his little legs. He still goes from perfectly content, asleep to raging mad when he wakes up hungry! He doesn't like to be left alone or in the same place for too long. He definitely likes to be with us. He isn't getting as upset when we put him in his carseat and he generally is pretty happy when we are in the car. He is not the biggest fan of tummy time and will tolerate it for about 5 minutes. He will sit in the swing after he has been fed and has slept in it once or twice. He is a snuggler and does his best sleeping on top of me! He tunes into the TV much more than Ashlyn did/does...such a guy! He does well at bath time if he has a full tummy and isn't quite as sensitive to being cold. Some nicknames...pax, bubby, paxman. We are totally in love with our little guy and are enjoying watching him grow! Here are a few pictures at 2 months!
