A visit to the ENT

We were on a pretty good run of no ear infections.  I think we made it like 4 months over the summer.  But once cold season hit this fall, they came back.  With a vengeance!  She was diagnosed with double ear infections early November and they never really went away.  She went through 4 rounds of different oral antibiotics and we pretty much decided it was time for tubes!  The week before we were able to get into the ENT, she even had to have antibiotic shots.  2 rounds!  These infections were persistent!  With her laser treatment for her hemangioma in the works it was a no brainer to get the tubes as well!  Here are a few shots of our many trips to the pediatrician over the past couple of months.  We really like you Dr. Yaeger...but really like seeing you for well visits!

Down, set, hut!

We were able to get into the ENT and get the 2 surgeries coordinated in about 2 weeks.  Pretty good!  Here are a few shots from our consultation with Dr. Hung.  He was very much in agreement with placing tubes.  They did a hearing test on Ashlyn and she has some hearing loss at very low pitches which is consistent with a kid with chronic ear infections.  They feel certain when they retest her, it will be better.
