A weekend in Abilene

We left for Abilene this past Friday when I got off work. Ashlyn is a great traveler and sleeps most of the way. We got to Abilene pretty late Friday evening (around 9). Kristin & Scott and the kids all came over (in their jammies) to say hi! All of the kids have changed so much since we saw them in August. Jules is a petite, tiny little thing, but is walking all over the place! It is the cutest thing I have seen. Kellan looks about 8 and seems much more grown up. Crew is still the awesome soccer star and we got to see him play in a tournament over the weekend. He was invited to play with another team as a guest player. Saturday morning, Ron and Chance went to watch Crew's game. Ashlyn and I hung out with Nenna at the house and then we all met for lunch. After lunch we stopped by the Junior League Christmas Carousel. Saturday evening, Chance cooked out and we relaxed around the house while we watch Texas Tech beat Mizzou. Ron and Chance were very excited about the win (and a few other losses in the Big 12). Sunday morning it was back to the soccer fields. This time Nenna, Ashlyn and I went with Chance. Crew's team didn't win, but it was a good game. After soccer we helped Kristin and Scott move some stuff over to their new house. Their new house is on the golf course in the same neighborhood as Nenna & Papa's house. It is amazing!! So much room! The kitchen is unbelievable. I will post pics once they get everything moved in. It is breathtaking! We ate burgers and moved a little, Ashlyn took a little nap. Sunday early evening we packed up and headed back to Big D. Again, Ashlyn was an angel and slept most of the way home. We enjoyed our extra hour of sleep with daylight savings time and it didn't seem to mess up Ashlyn's schedule at all. She is the most laid back, flexible baby. We really are blessed!
